January 4, 2014 was a MOMENTOUS day for the HALL OF ORG! Few have ever traveled so far - Madison, WI to NYC to LA to San DIego to LA to Atlanta to NYC- to accomplish so much. Tyler Lane, known for his Rivera pitching style, his Manning-like quick release, and his formidable fencing skills, shattered two long-standing records at the HALL OF ORG. Tyler is the first to record 3 ORGS in his induction match and the first to score 24 runs in a 5-inning match with a partner. Also, he and Josh Lane are the first brother duo in the HALL OF ORG. Sadly, it seemed that Tyler would be just one of the countless many who have tried to be inducted but have failed as he had spent substantial time on the roof without ORGING. On Tyler's last day in San Diego before he left for NYC and as the sun was setting, his frisky mother beseeched (1) Tyler to try one more time -"surely, my older son can ORG"- and (2) for the HALL OF ORG to extend its hours and turn on its lights. Only because Tyler had traveled 4,000 miles to arrive at the HAll, did the HALL acquiesce. What happened soon thereafter is seemingly inexplicable, but not dissimilar to the Colts comeback of 28 points against the Chiefs. Using the same swing and club, Tyler became a multiple ORGER and soundly trounced his opponents as darkness fell- all to the delight of his adoring mother. You will certainly want to meet and heartily congratulate Tyler. For the next several years, he can be found at any U of WI home football or basketball games wearing an appropriate red and white HALL OF ORG T-shirt.
